There's a lot going on with this gun. It started out as a stock 4" Smith and Wesson Model 29-2 with an "S" prefix serial number, purchased in 1969 by my father. At some point, he sent it to be Magna-ported and refinished in hard chrome. At a later time, he took the gun to Ausin Behlert's shop and it got an action job. Dad took a number of guns to Behlert, and all of them have a smooth as glass trigger. This one is just the same. This is another of his carry guns. It's not a safe queen. This thing was his every day carry for a while. The finish has held up remarkably well, but you can tell that it's been used.
This is an amazing gun, that's just as much art as it is function.
