Ben Ewing


Ben began his public safety career in the fire service, focusing on technical rescue and patient care as an EMT-Intermediate. While in the Army Reserve, Ben achieved his paramedic licensure and worked as a flight medic in both military and civilian roles. He also completed certification as a peace officer and went on to obtain instructor credentials in law enforcement specialties including firearms, defensive tactics, and emergency medical care. His law enforcement career includes service as a SWAT medic, tactical team leader, tactical unit commander, and department training officer. Currently, Ben is a faculty member in the Technical College System, teaching Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) and Paramedic initial education programs as a licensed Level III EMS instructor.
