Ben Ewing has been expanding his Public Safety career and credentials for more than 30 years. He began in the fire service, where he focused on technical rescue and patient care as an EMT-Intermediate. While in the Army Reserve, Ben achieved his paramedic license and worked as a flight medic in both military and civilian roles.
Ben also completed certification as a Georgia Peace Officer and went on to obtain instructor credentials in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Emergency Medical Care. His law enforcement career includes service as a SWAT medic, tactical team leader, tactical unit commander, and sheriff’s office department training officer.
Ben's EMS career includes 10 years in fire suppression and EMS first response, overlapped with 25 years in metropolitan EMS System. Ben has served as a line paramedic, an educator and as an EMS department training officer. Ben continues to work as a state-licensed and nationally registered paramedic. He has also been a faculty member in the Technical College System for over 10 years, teaching Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) and Paramedic initial education programs as a licensed Level III EMS instructor. Additionally, Ben holds EMS instructor credentials in NAEMT PHTLS and TECC, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
